Case Study: Banter Beer & Wine — Cleveland, OH
The Challenge
The former Vietnamese restaurant that would become Banter Beer & Wine sat directly adjacent to a large apartment complex under active construction, owned by the same landlord. With forklifts running material in and out all day, the neighboring parking lot claimed for staging, and dumpster access restricted to just two days during demo, the logistics of gutting and rebuilding the space required as much planning as the construction itself. Debris had to be piled and removed in tight one-hour windows throughout the project.
The Solution
Despite the constraints, Ten Six Construction got to work. The space was fully gutted down to the studs, and walls were opened up to create wider walkways and improve the overall flow of the bar. Structural work was completed to support the new layout, and a new storefront was installed to give the exterior a fresh, modern presence. Our team also renovated the three apartments on the upper floors of the same building.
The Result
What was once a closed-off Vietnamese restaurant is now a warm, inviting bar and bottle shop that looks nothing like its former self, thanks to the renovation work done by Ten Six. The finished space reflects exactly what Banter Beer & Wine set out to create—built under less-than-ideal conditions, but you’d never know it looking at the final product.
